Ole Man Kidd (Denver Venoit) has been touring and making music as a genre-spanning drummer across Canada and the USA for years. This first offering of songs reflects the time off he has taken from touring with bands while immersing himself in the traditions of folk, country, and blues. Drawing inspiration from his 1880’s muse, Carpathia, his songs are self-reflective and steeped in slide bottleneck steel guitar and regret. These are songs for Sunday mornings and the quiet pain of hangovers.
